Abstract [en]

Chapter 5 presents readers with an overview of current research frameworks and models used in the study of firm internationalization (that encompasses regionalization) processes, andillustrate an evolution of the knowledge / thought paradigm towards future applications and use of these models in future studies of organization processes in the European business environment. In particular the chapter traces the elements of the Uppsala model (UM) of firm internationalization inthought evolution, illustrating how the elements of firm internationalization might be morecomprehensively and dynamically applied to the European business context.
