Abstract [en]

Functional testing of waterproofing systems for use be-hind ceramic tiling based on flexible sheets 2025 and a his-toric retrospective.

This research project is a repetition of previous projects. These projects span a long period of time, 15 years. The projects were carried out during the period 2010 to 2025.

This time, however, only a small number, eight, waterproofing systems have been in-vestigated. Two waterproofing systems show no leaks at the end of the test, 25 %. Six waterproofing systems show leakage in various locations at the end of the test, 75 %.

In the current investigation, most of the leaks are localized to the floor-wall folds. Leaks have been noted at penetrations of large and small sewer pipes for two of the investigated waterproofing systems. Only one leak at the inner corner has been noted. Fortunately, none of the waterproofing systems examined showed leaks at the floor drains, nor were any issues extensive enough to be considered total damage.
