Abstract [en]
We investigate how the parameters of dispersion managed solitons depend on the asymmetry of the dispersion map. Using the variational approach and numerical simulations we show that asymmetric maps can increase the accessible bandwidth in the normal average dispersion regime and equalise the power in adjacent WDM channels.
